~ Valerie Bloom was born in Clarendon, Jamaica in 1956.
~ She moved to England in 1979 and currently lives in Kent.
~ Valerie is a poet and a novelist who writes poems and stories children.
~She also conducts writing courses and visits schools to share her experiences and talent in writing because she enjoys teaching chidren.
~ She also edits a number of collections and her poems have been published in more than 200 anthologies. [Impressive huh? (^_^) ]
~ In 2008, she is appointed as Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
